The Val Venosta landscapes
The charm of the Val Venosta landscapes lies in the contrast between the blooming orchards and the snow-capped mountains in the background. This is possible especially in spring, when apple trees around the mountain resorts of Naturno and Silandro are in bloom, while the mountains are still white with snow; it’s possible to book your ski holidays in Italy till April here! Another Val Venosta attraction is the Medieval city of Glorenza, which is included in the “Most beautiful small towns in Italy”. Glorenza is also the smallest town in Italy and its inhabitants say “Our city is so small that we need to go out of its walls to go to church on Sundays”. The most famous Val Venosta landscape is the Resia lake, marked by the bell tower out of the water, which belonged to the village of Curon Venosta. The legend affirms that in stormy nights bells ring; the point is that bells were taken away from the bell tower many years ago already!
